I never thought I could enjoy sewing as much as I do, I find it very theraputic (well most of the time hahaha) and very rewarding to say the least. When I started this "hobby" everyone thought I would stay with it for a few months, but it has been nearly two years now and I don't see myself throwing it in any time soon. To see the reaction on people's faces when they open what I have made for them is not a feeling I can give up, making people smile is worth all the time and effort.
My passion for bags, purses, accessories, shoes etc has always been there - what girl doesn't love a beautiful bag or purse to parade around with and when my friend Rachel asked if I wanted to join her to take Nikki's"Bags for Beginners" class Nicole Mallalieu Design, I thought why not learn how to make what I love!!! After the 5 week course I was hooked - from not sewing since year 10 textiles to walking out of Nikki's class with a satchel that I had made was very gratifing.
You could say that I started this blog nearly a year ago purely for a competition Nikki was hosting to showcase the bags, purses etc you had made from Nikki's patterns. A couple of months ago I decided to continue with the blog as a way to continue to showcase my creations.
I don't have anything specific to blog about, so I suppose it will be occurances of my world (don't get too excited, it's not that interesting hahaha) and use it as my creative space!
Life isn't about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself!
